HAPPY NEW YEAR
KEEP ME CLOSE TO UR HEART!!!! ALL THAT I'M NO MATTER THE PRICE OH GOD...IT'S MY ALL TO YOU...MY DESIRES...MY WILL...MY MOST DEEPEST DREAMS..ALL FOR YOU MY KING!!

Zindagi ya Maut

Maut ko gale lagana aasaan hai,
Zindagi se bhag jaana aasaan hai…
Par, Jinke ankho mein manzil ki roshni ki chamak,
Haatho mein umeed ki dor ho…
Voh zindagi se muh chupaya nahi karte,
Adhuri jung chor...
bhag jaaya nahi karte
Maut toh aani hai par,
Yun usse apne haatho
bulaaya nahi karte...
Aao hum saab mil kar thame haath,
Madaath kare apni aur unki jinhe,
Jarurat hai uski…
Lost in the stormy nights
I am lost
On the desertic sands of time
Roaming and walking
On the emptyness of my soul
I am lost
On the stormy nights without moonlight
Crawling and staggering
On the silence of my mind

Road Forever

It seems to go on forever...
It seems the cracks just get deeper...

It seems one only hears the silence...
It seems the emptyness is full...

It seems perfect ...
if you ask me.
Roses are Red, Vilolets are Blue, I feel real Blue with out you :(

In case you didn't know, I have a semi-ridiculous obsession with trees. I just think they
are amazing. When I saw this tree I almost amazed... because I want to live in it. Wow.
some beautiful thought copied from somewhere.......
After you leave, I will become a tree..
After you leave, I will become a tree Alone on a hillside,
loving wind and sun,Waiting for you to return home to me,
Though centuries of lonely stars may run.
I'll grow tall and give lots of shade,
Sheltering birds and other bright-eyed things.

Love and Madness

A recently read story, think worth copy Pasting.

A long time ago, before the world was created and humans set foot on it, God had put all the human "qualities" in a separate room. Since all the qualities were bored they decided to play hide & seek.

"Madness" was one of the qualities and he shouted: "I want to count, I want to count!"
And since nobody was crazy enough to want to seek "Madness", all the other qualities agreed. So "Madness" leaned against a tree and started to count:
One, two, three..." As "Madness" counted, the qualities went hiding. "Treason" hid in a pile of garbage.. "Lie " said that it would hide under a stone, but hid at the bottom of the lake.

And Madness continued to count "... seventy nine, eighty, eighty one..." By this time, all the qualities were already hidden-except "Love ".

For stupid as "Love " is, he could not decide where to hide. And this should not surprise us, because we all know how difficult it is to hide "Love".

"Madness": "...ninety five, ninety six, ninety seven..." Just when "Madness" got to one hundred..... ...."Love" jumped into a rose bush where he hid. And Madness turned around and shouted: "I'm coming, I'm coming!" As Madness turned around, "Laziness" was the first to be found, because "Laziness" was too lazy to hide properly. "Madness" searched madly and found "Lie" at the bottom of the lake. One by one, Madness found them all - except Love. Madness was getting desperate, unable to find Love.

Envious of Love, "Envy" whispered to "Madness ": "You only need to find Love, and Love is hiding in the rose bush."

"Madness" Jumped on the rose bush and he heard a loud cry. The thorns in the bush had pierced "Love's" eyes.

Hearing the commotion God came and saw what had happened. He got very angry and cursed
"Madness" and said since "Love" has become blind because of u... ..u shall always be with him"

And so from that day on, Love is blind and is always accompanied by Madness.!

Monkey Business on Planet of the Apes
Monkey Business - The commercial transaction for a profit induced by corporations mainly by reducing people's intelligence to levels that are lower than that of most primates.
This is carried out by bombarding them in the form of commercials. The acquiring of the product creates a false sense of satisfaction and well being among the end user. This momentarily deflects attention. The consumer ultimately gets conditioned to shop for monkey goods.
Selling most FMCG goods comes under monkey business
FMCG-(Fast Moving Consumer Goods - Soap,toothpast,biscuits )
Typical advertisements that are used in monkey business
Here is some funny stuff that I found on google image search

These are very tough to do

Coco-cola is one sick corporate entity trying to appropriate the "Sar Utha ke Jiyo" slogan
used by nationalists and freedom fighters . Let me tell you how I think this works.
The first time you heard "Sar Utha Ke Jiyo" slogan probably when you were a kid your brain formed a unique templete that stored the message along with the emotions/feelings they generated. (Thats how memory works )
In this case they must have been positive emotions. This is a part of your permanent memory and stored. And whenever you hear and think of the same slogan again your templete is retrieved and you experience the same emotions.

What Coco-Cola is doing here is trying to overwrite that template with the template it has created called "Piyo Sar Utha Ke " Since the wording/positioning of the templates are so similiar there is a tendency that you will allow the same emotions that you have for the original to pass over to the fake template.

Another case that I have noticed - Use of Gayathri Mantra by Videocon in their television ads
Advertising is more about mind control than anything else Thats why it is one of the largest employers of psycologists in the world.

The woman in your life....

Tomorrow you may get a working woman, but you should marry with these facts as well.
Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are; Who is earning almost as much as you do;

One, who has dreams and aspirations just as you have because she is as human as you are;

One, who has never entered the kitchen in her life just like you or your Sister haven't, as she was busy in studies and competing in a system that gives no special concession to girls for their culinary achievements

One, who has lived and loved her parents & brothers & sisters, almost as much as you do for 20-25 years of her life;

One, who has bravely agreed to leave behind all that, her home, people who love her, to adopt your home, your family, your ways and even your family name

One, who is somehow expected to be a master-chef from day #1, while you sleep oblivious to her predicament in her new circumstances, environment and that kitchen

One, who is expected to make the tea, first thing in the morning and cook food at the end of the day, even if she is as tired as you are, maybe more, and yet never ever expected to complain; to be a servant, a cook, a mother, a wife, even if she doesn't want to; and is learning just like you are as to what you want from her; and is clumsy and sloppy at times and knows that you won't like it if she is too demanding, or if she learns faster than you;

One, who has her own set of friends, and that includes boys and even men at her workplace too, those, who she knows from school days and yet is willing to put all that on the back-burners to avoid your irrational jealousy, unnecessary competition and your inherent insecurities;

Yes, she can drink and dance just as well as you can, but won't, simply because you won't like it, even though you say otherwise

One, who can be late from work once in a while when deadlines, just like yours, are to be met; One, who is doing her level best and wants to make this most important relationship in her entire life a grand success, if you just help her some and trust her;

One, who just wants one thing from you, as you are the only one she knows in your entire house - your unstinted support, your sensitivities and most importantly - your understanding, or love, if you may call it.

But not many guys understand this...

Every word in this is felt and expressed directly from heart….

Sometimes I get confused.
I try to live by this funda: live life king size. I believe that life is too short for any moment to be spent unhappy… whatever happens in life cannot be so bad that u forget to smile! And most of the times, I succeed in applying it to my own life.

And then some other things I come across leave me all baffled. I hear about how people suffer, and I fail to find reasons that would provide them the faintest smile in an entire lifetime.

What could someone have done to deserve all so many misfortunes at once?! What could have led them to do something as bad that made them deserve it?! Did they incur all those misdeeds in their right minds, or were they forced by circumstances to do it?

And I keep on thinking and I keep getting confused all over again and again…
How can God be so unfair to some people and yet so blissful on some others? Am I even rightful to blame God for anything at all…? Or is it the people who need to be blamed? And if they are to be blamed, why do they need to be blamed?

I apologize to anyone who reads it, if this leaves you confused! That has not been the intent, or may be I wish I could be more clear to myself then I would not have had to project this to beyond my within!

Being able to write this in all the expectable luxuries of life, sometimes I wonder. Do I have the right to be so comfortable, when many others strive to convince themselves that there must be some fairness in this life that gets harsher with each passing breath? Or even if I do not have that right, why not?

Sometimes, tears roll down my eyes… making me feel helpless and hopeless! What can I do to solve this confusion and get some peace of mind? What can I do to make myself not feel guilty about the conditions of my other people?!

Apart by no more than six degrees of separation in theory, all so close and yet all so different, sometimes I get confused!
Kabhie kahin koi din aisa aaye
Ki saanse chalti rahein aur waqt ruk jaaye

Kabhie kahin koi sagar kinare,
Pani behta rahein aur lehrein sookh jaaye

Ek aisi bhi kabhie shaam aaye
Jab suraj na doobe or chaand nikal aaye

Kabhie mujhe bhi kisise pyar ho
Aur meri deewangi mohobbat ki misaal ban jaaye

Kabhie kahin kisiko mein dekhti rahoon
Aur uski gehri aankho mein mera dil doob jaaye

Aur koi din chaahe aaye na aaye,
Bus ek aisa khoobsurat din zarur aaye
Jisme phulon ki mehek ho, Dharti ki goad ho,
Panchhiyo ki chehk ho, Taaron ki khoj ho,
Aur aahista se ye tann mann mere kudrat mein mil jaaye!
These are the lines of a famous poet.....i just love the wordings

MAUSAM KHOYA KHOYA HAI,
JEEVAN SOYA SOYA HAI,
PAR NEEND NAHI AB AANKHON MEIN,
UTSAH NAHI AB BAATON MEIN,
ULJHAN KO SULJHAO NAA,
PREYASI!TUM AAO NAA.

MANN KAHTA HAI,TUM SAATH RAHO,
MERE JEEVAN KE ANT TALAK,
SAANSON KI WO ANTIM LADIYAAN,
TOOTE AUR BIKHRE SANG TERE,
TUM SOCH RAHI SHAAYAD MUJHKO,
IS JEEVAN KI KUCH SAMAJH NAHI,
TUM AAKAR KUCH SAMJHAO NAA,
PREYASI!TUM AAO NAA....

AAMCHI MUMBAI

MARINE DRIVE

Lord Ganesha is considered the master of intellect and wisdom. He is an unmistakable part of every Hindu household in Mumbai. Here's an interesting tidbit.
If you choose to gift an idol or a picture of lord Ganesha to your Indian friend, then make sure that his truck in NOT turned to the right side. Ganesh with his truck turned to the right is considered Strict and Awakened. A household with such an idol is expected to follow strict religious protocols. A gift with right side trunk may be politely turned down or end up returned to the seas.

All Construction in Mumbai is done this way. Labor is cheap and available. The labor force is comprised of both women and men. Women do a lot of lifting and carrying and men perform specialized tasks. The workday is long 10-12 hours of working in humid heat. All buildings in Mumbai are built this way.
Women can be seen tending to their young ones on site. When I look back at my memories of construction sites two things come to mind.
Work ethic. It is amazing. Food intake. The workers eat so little. Mostly some breads (chapatis) and lentis (Daal). It is a testament to the tenacity of human body to extract nutrients and nourish itself from so little.
As India is getting more prosperous, this section of the society is getting left behind. Lack of quality education, health care, housing, mental health counseling is creating this division.

Another problem that is looming is availability of cheap fast food. The working class is likely to gravitate to Coke, Cheese, and Chips. This will very likely create the same situation as what we see in countries like Mexico -- Fat working class people. This obesity epidemic won't be just limited to the white collar workers.

MUMBAI IN MONSOON

TAXI STAND AT SHANTACRUZ AIRPORT MUMBAI

YE HAI MUMBAI MERI JAAN

My experience to mumbai's local train was very interesting. I got da chance to tarvel by local train a couple of times. That too coz i wanted to experience it. I hav heard that local trains are tha nerves of mumbai, and are great equalizers in this city. No matter what your status in society, there is always some place for you in the most crowded compartments. Mumbai locals doors don't close. So people just hang out. It also provides an interesting way to commute during the monsoon seasons.

Now my experience...Aaaah!!!! Mazedaar, i must say...My first few journies were o.k. but my last journey was from andheri to CST, i think it was during night and was tha last local, and O my god!!! what an experience....I went in to ladies comp. I thought it can be easy in ladies comp., but it was more crowded. Most of them were working ladies and were going back to their homes. They were fully loaded with make-up and very chilled inspite of the bustling crowd. some gals were listening to music on their earphones..some were buying veg. and chopping them in train itself. there were diff. types of vendors who were selling churee(bangles), snax, veg., cosmetics etc. And i was amazed to see how enthusiasticly ladies were doing purchasing and enjoying talking with each other, Though i could only listen to horrible noise of train. As the train reached to CST station, there was already a huge crowd waiting outside, and someone told me that as train is on the verge of stopping just jump over the crowd otherwise u will not be able to go out. Because the outside crowd will push u again inside train. And i know how i got down that day from train. After that i took oath that i will never travel in local train. Anyways i believe that one should experience everything in life, and believe me this was an unforgetteble experience.

Some more interesting facts about the local trains is that there are separate compartments reserved for women. But woman crowd is not less either. Mumbai is probably the safest city in India for women. However, it is still not safe for women to travel in a crowded local train with men. Groping is to be expected so watch out if you are in a crowded compartment. If u have less time, try using the local trains otherwise u can be caught in traffic jams in mumbai which is very usual. Buy 1st class tickets and board where the train line starts. It is the fastest way to travel in Mumbai. The tickets are affordable and the frequency of the trains is pretty high
.

Mumbai Local
The smell
The sound
The feel
Moisture laden air
Static electric skin
Goosebumps
Senses heightened
In anticipation of what's to come
World racing past
trees, mountains, creeks,
all had wings
'Are you cold ?'
A voice from another world,
Eyes forced open
Skin drenched
Soaking nectar
'I am fine!'
Eyes closed again
Thunderstorms
And rains
Wild rains
Lashing rains
Shiver
Longing to be held
Hands growing clammy
Face growing warm
Skin tingling
That voice again
'Are you okay?'
Heart screaming
'Shutup and hold me'
Voice instead
'I am fine !!!'
Gaze fixed
Dazed with longing
As clouds retreat
Rain eases
Gently taunting, mocking
Thunder bellows
One last time
Distant voices
Friendly gossip
Sweet oblivion
That voice again
'Our Stop'
Damn,
Hate you Rainbow !!

My favourite city in da world - JAMSHEDPUR

A city located in the state of Jharkand in India founded by the late Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata as Sakchi. In 1919 Lord Chelmsford named it Jamshedpur, in honour of its founder, whose birthday is celebrated on 3rd March as Founder's Day. J. N. Tata had written to his son Dorabji Tata about his vision of a great city in the area.

Jamshedpur is home to the first private Iron and Steel company of India, Tata Steel, and is commonly called "Tata" as a result of the company's significant presence. The areas surrounding Jamshedpur are rich in minerals, and natural beauty. including iron ore, coal, manganese and lime.

The city recently won international acclaim when it was selected for the 2004 Global Compact City award from the UN in India, beating other contenders such as Bangalore, Pune and Chandigarh, amongst others. A true testimony indeed to its robust infrastructure, cosmopolitan outlook and strong industry.

It is a modern, industrial city; the main industries being iron and steel, truck manufacturing, tinplate production, cement and other small and medium scale industries revolving around these products. The largest factory is that of Tata Steel (the erstwhile TISCO), and it is situated almost at the center of the city.

PLACES OF INTEREST To a newcomer, coming from a big metropolis, settling down to the quite pace of the life in Steel city takes sometime. The surroundings, the set ups, the way of life, have a stamp of their own. The first thing that strikes a newcomer to the city is its quietness. He is not to find the 'hustle bustle' of a big city here. The traffic jams and the crowds are simply missing from the scene.

A bus, an auto or a taxi takes you from the station to your place or destination. As your conveyance, speeds along the quite roads, your eyes will take note of the surrounding hills, the orderly greenery along the roads, and you would like to relax. In the city where ever you go, the sweeping Dalma range beckons you the horizon. The ubiquitous Subernarekha River bursts upon your view from time to time in Sonari and Sakchi.

In summer, Jamshedpur citizens crowd the Jubilee Park to beat the heat. Built in the lines of the Vrindavan garden in Mysore, it is also a picnic spot. The lake beside the TISCO nurseries, the children's Park, the "rose-beds" also call for sightseer's attention.

JUBILEE PARK Jubilee Park is a place of releasing one's tension in its natural beauty. A number of parks and gardens all over the city have added a lot to its glamour. This 80-hectare park, planned after the Brindawan Garden of Mysore and built at the cost of Rs. 27 lakhs was gifted to the citizens of Jamshedpur by the Tata Steel Co. on the occasion of its Golden Jubilee in 1958. The park includes 34 tier Mughal Gardens, a lake with boathouse and fishing facilities and a canteen. It also has a children park, a mini golf course, and an avenue of fountains, a beautiful Rose garden, and towered by a double life size statue of J.N. Tata. The Jubilee Park is lit up with multi colored lamps every Tuesday and Sunday, being the weekend for trade and industry. The leaping fountains present a pretty sight.

SIR DORABJI TATA PARK Russi Mody Park is situated near Keenan Stadium. It has recently been christened after the name of Sir Dorabji Jamshetji Tata, son of J.N. Tata & the first chairman of Tata Steel. Manicured lawns, flower beds and brilliantly lit fountains provide a delightful touch of colour to the park.

TATA STEEL ZOOLOGICAL PARK Located only a few kilometers away from the Steel Plant is the Zoo which houses a variety of animals and birds. The Safari Park in the zoo enables visitors to take a drive through a wooded area where animals roam free and uncaged. A visit to the Nature Education Centre, a boat ride in the Jubilee Lake or a walk in the Nature Trail are unique outlets to relax. The co-existence of wild life in close proximity to the Steel Plant is evidence of the excellent balance of industry with nature.

JUBILEE AMUSEMENT PARK The park has redefined entertainment in the Steel City. A special gift to the children of Jamshedpur, the amusement park provides entertainment that is available in far away metros only. The green hillocks and the waterbody provide a wonderful ambience for an outing where games like whirling in the wind, dashing cars, rolling till the moon, derby riding, caterpillar ride and a 75-meter slide can be enjoyed.

HUDCO LAKE Nestled in the picturesque and hilly terrain of Telco Colony, the lake is a delightful retreat for those desirous of being 'in nature's lap' within the city precincts.

DIMNA LAKE Located at a distance of 13 kms from the city limits, at the foot of the Dalma Hills, its salubrious surroundings are ideal for picnics and boat rides. The famed Dimna Lake, the reservoir to the steel city should not be forgotten in this connection. A journey to this 'picnic spot' takes us through sprawling greenery on all sides. As one reaches the destination, the cool, refreshing view of the Dimna comes to one's sight. Here is a sparkling expanse of water nesting at the foot of the hills. On one side a stretch of walkers' footpath encircles the lake.

DALMA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY Lurking in the thick cover of its jungles (193 sq kms) are elephants, barking deer, sloth bears, porcupines, leopards, tigers, etc. The steep slopes of Dalma Hills are also a trekker's delight.
Dimna lake and dam

Jublee park
JUBLEE PARK AND ZOOLOGICAL PARK

after visiting zoological park i felt to pen down something like this

Zebras are reactionaries,

Antelopes are missionaries,

Pigeons plot in secrecy,

And hamsters turn on frequently.

What a gas! you gotta come and see

At the zoo.
